Divan Bed Explained

A divan bed is made from a wooden timber frame and upholstered in the house fabric of your choice. Divans are unique; the space within the boxed frame can be installed with runner drawers to create a handy storage facility which can be accessed from either end of the bed.

Divan beds are available in many fabric and colour options, from traditional greys and beiges to bolder colours such as claret, duck egg and aubergine.

Ottoman Bed Explained

The ottoman bed is the marquee storage bed on the market. Other beds on the market, such as slatted metal gas lift storage beds, offer storage facilities, but the divan ottoman is in a league of its own when it comes to quality and robustness. The base features four hydraulic gas lift mechanisms to revolutionise the space under the under bed and create two integrated storage compartments which can open from the side or foot end.

Ottomans are great at storing just about anything from bedding and blankets to toys and shoes.

Do divans & ottomans come with a headboard?

All divans and ottomans are available with the option of a headboard. Headboards for divan and ottoman beds can feature any design. As each headboard is bespoke and handmade to order, we can create custom sizes to suit your specific requirements.

Any headboard can be added to a divan or ottoman storage bed. We have compiled a list of our favourite combinations which are detailed in each respective collection, but as mentioned previously, you can design your own headboard by providing us with a specification or design to work from.

Two types of headboards can be added to the bases. The first offering is a small 24” headboard which is joined to the base with wooden struts and adjusts to varying mattress depths. The second option is the floor standing headboard; it’s a real head turner which serves as a real statement piece, featuring prominently in any room from the floor upwards.
